This leaflet invites you to discover Brussels in the early 17th century through the travel journal of the Florentine artist Remigio Cantagallina (Borgo San Sepolcro 1575 - Florence 1656). It is a tour from Halle Gate to the Botanical Garden, mainly in the upper town, where emblematic buildings such as the Palace of Coudenberg/Koudenberg and the Collegiate Church of Saint Michael and Saint Gudula were concentrated, as well as numerous aristocratic townhouses.
